Misc. Wild Type Livebearers
Sold by either fry packs - ( FP ) of 8 - 9 young fish, or young pairs ( PR ) depending on availability. There are dozens of species of livebearers, and what doesn't fit neatly in another category, I've placed here.
Xenophallus Umbratillus "Arenal Volcano"
$18 . 00 PR Limited
These are a cool nano Livebearer ! They get 1 -1.5 inches , Nice gold - bronze body, with black finnage.
Striking in a planted tank with black substrate ! Not very common , I spent 6 years trying to get them back after I let my original colony go.

Xiphophorus Clemencia
Growing Out
Young male is shown . These are also called the "yellow - Swordtail, as other common names were taken. These are peaceful, for a wild swordtail type. Mine are very outgoing and meet me at the front of the tank ! Not very predatory either, as I have some green shrimp in their tank as a clean up crew ! The colors get better with age !
Alfaro Cultratus
$40.00 ( FP ) Limited
These are also known as Knife - belly livebearers, due to the slightly different gonopodium. These are not commonly found, and reach about 3 inches. Mine prefer to hang out mid tank in an open are that is close to well planted areas for a quick dash to safety. So far they seem to be good with other community type fish.
Cnesterodon decemmaculatus
$18.00 ( PR) No Summer shipping
- AKA- The 10 spot Livebearer , which they can have spots or not according to mood . Mine were upset over being shood out into the open for photos, and lost their spots. These are a cool water species, from south - eastern South America, unlike most other nano livebearers. I keep mine at 62-74 depending on time of year. I will not ship these during summer. These are a bit bigger than an endler, a bit smaller than a guppy.
Limia Perugia "Lago Enriquillo D.R."
$28.00 (FP) Growing Out
The original collection was from a hypersaline lake, but mine are living just fine in hard fresh water without issues. Young male is shown.
Phallichthys quadripunctatus
$18.00 ( PR ) Limited
The 4 Spot Merry Widow is another small livebearer from Costa Rica. Males are about 3/4-1 inch and females are about 1.5-2 inches. These are peaceful, but older females can get a tad onrey. Give them plenty of cover.
I'm also working with a few other species, and when numbers come up, some pretty soon, I'll be posting those as well.
